Safely store and access your credit history and other important records wherever you go
Hawiyati is a personal Digital Identity that allows you to securely store and access your most important records, such as your identification documents, credit history, employment history, and education and training certificates, wherever you go – somewhere else in the Middle East, home, or elsewhere. Hawiyati is designed to help economically active populations on the move to build a digital history that they can use to gain access to credit, employment, and education.
Hawiyati is currently in the pilot phase and will be made available to the wider public in late 2020. The initiative is managed by Making Cents International, in partnership with Microfund for Women, Tamweelcom, the International Rescue Committee in Jordan, Al Majmoua in Lebanon, and the First MicroFinance Institution Syria in Syria.
First MicroFinance Institution Syria
Hawiyati is currently powered by the BanQu digital identity platform and has been financed by SANAD – the MENA Fund for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, FMO, and RTI International.
