Making Cents International (Making Cents) is accepting quotes from CPA firms to provide audit services for our company.

Making Cents, an S-corporation registered in Delaware, is a woman-owned, small business established in 1998. The company is headquartered in Washington, D.C., employing 20 US-based employees. The company’s major sources of revenue include contracts with the U.S. Government, other government funders, and private entities. 

We are seeking a qualified CPA firm with extensive experience on Federal government project funding and FAR 31.2 cost principles to perform the following:

  1. Annual audit in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards (and government auditing standards, as applicable) for the year ending December 31, 2019.

  2. Internal control letter and recommendations on improving internal controls.

The audit fieldwork is anticipated to begin by February 17, and the delivery of the financial statements and management letter is expected by May 1.

Travel Management Services

Request for Proposals

Making Cents International (Making Cents) is accepting proposals from travel management companies (TMC) to provide international and domestic travel reservations that meet the needs of our travelers and adhere to our client’s requirements.

The selected TMC should expect a similar volume of ticketing and ratio of international to domestic tickets as listed below, but should also have the capacity to support additional travel bookings.

  1. Average Annual Air Spend Approximately: $100,000

  2. Average Annual Domestic/International Air Spend: 5 percent/95 percent

  3. Average Annual Number of Ticketed Transactions: 25 to 40, depending on events

Logistical and Research Services in Mauritania

Request for Quote

Making Cents International (Making Cents), under contract to USAID, will be conducting a Cross-Sectoral Youth Assessment (CSYA). The purpose of the CSYA is gain a better understanding of the context and status of Mauritanian youth (opportunities and vulnerabilities) and assess models and approaches for implementation of evidence-based programming for adolescents and young people aged 18-35 years (inclusively termed “youth” in this RFQ) to benefit program management and strategic directions for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)/Mauritania. The offeror will conduct a CSYA to understand the opportunities and challenges for supporting youth in Mauritania. The assessment will use a Positive Youth Development (PYD) lens and provide recommendations on how USAID can respond to challenges and opportunities to support meaningful programming for youth throughout Mauritania. The CSYA will be conducted in three regions: Nouakchott, Nouadhibou, and one to be determined (Gorgol, Guidimakha, or Assaba), as the security situation permits. 
 
The selected offeror will provide logistical and research services to support the assessment, which will encompass in-country stakeholder consultations and in-depth peer group discussions with youth in the Nouakchott and Nouadhibou cities, as well as the other regions in Mauritania. The full in-country Assessment Team will be comprised of the Team Lead (Making Cents), the Workforce Development Specialist (Making Cents), Local Social Cohesion Specialist (Making Cents), four Youth Researchers (provided by the selected offeror), and a logistician (provided by the selected offeror). 
 

Any questions regarding this RFQ must be submitted in writing, in English, per the instructions of the RFQ. Any information that substantially changes the requirements of this RFQ shall be released the issuance of an amendment to the RFQ. Making Cents may, at its own discretion, extend the deadline for the submission of proposals.
